The new weatronic® 2.4
Dual FHSS Radio Control System.
Double Safety has a name
The wish of every RC-pilot is - to have the most reliable RC-link.
With the all new weatronic® 2.4 GHz FHSS Dual RC system our development
team offers you the most possible in reliability for your Radio Control system.
- weatronic® 2.4 GHz Dual FHSS stands for Dual Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum in the 2.4 GHz ISM-Band.
- weatronic®
2.4 GHz Dual FHSS transmits and receives on 81 continuously hopping
frequencies at a rate of 1/100 sec. Transmitter module and
dual receiver are synchronized and follow the same algorithm.
- Turn
on the system, take off, fly, and land –that’s all you need to care
about. 120 or more systems can be operated at the same time. Interferences are
basically impossible.
- What is the range? - As far as you can distinguish the flight attitude of the model.
- weatronic® 2.4 GHz Dual FHSS is an all new development of our engineering team – patents are pending.
The weatronic® development team has implemented the most possible in
safety that can be utilized out of the wide band technology. That is
why we did not use complete IC modules that were developed for other
applications.
The task at hand: European regulations allow no more than 100 mW
EIRP *transmitter power output. At the same we want to guarantee a safe
and reliable system. Only one transmission technology would stand up to
the task: The FHSS-technology. FHSS stands for Frequency Hopping Spread
Spectrum.
The weatronic® system uses the 81 available numbers of
channels. Depending on the country, mostly all 81 channels can be used. They are normally used in a rapid random succession.
weatronic® has based the new 2.4 GHz Dual FHSS -RC-system on the
adaptive frequency hopping technology, similar to the industry standard
shared by Bluetooth® . 81 channles (frequencies) are used with a
bandwith of 1 MHz. Channels that are found busy or disturbed are
excluded at the time being until they are free again. In addition
weatronic® also uses a forward error correction system which further
enhances the safety of the system.
weatronic® 2.4GHz Dual Receivers have two completely independent
circuits. They provide redundancy and complete true spatial diversity,
supported through the use of one antenna for each receiver. This enhances safety through
avoidance of blocking, dead zones and - or fading.
The integrated on-board-electronic system
weatronic® constructed a new parallel product line based
upon our 2.4 Dual FHSS technology. The integrated on board electronic
system for big models, jets, gliders and helicopters will be available
in five versions:
-

We enhanced our strong double power supply, well known from our 35 and
72 MHz Dual Receivers, to handle the strongest digital servos being on
the market. Now eight independent power circuits deliver each
continuous 4.0 amps - altogether 32 amps - with a regulated voltage of
selectable 4.8 or 6.0 Volts. New: two-axis respectively
three-axis-gyros on board are now fully programmable heading lock
versions. A Large Aluminum heat sink in the bottom of the housing helps dssipate heat.

The 12-Channel Transmitter Module
The weatronic® transmitter module is mounted in a flat housing and will
be fastened to the transmitter with adapter fittings. These are available for all
transmitters with changeable HF modules (72MHz). A patch wire and an adapter housing,
similar to the original HF-module, connects the 2.4 GHz Tx module with the transmitter.
Should the HF module consist of a print board inside the TX-housing, a replacement print board
is used with the patch wire routed outside to the transmitter module.
weatronic® 12-channel transmitter module
The weatronic® module transmits and receives 12 channels through two patch
aerials on the front side of the Tx module. It logs all the transmitted and received data
on a micro SD card which can be read out with the weatronic® GIGA
control software. The data can also be viewed "live" when connected to a computer or laptop during operation. Acoustic and visual signals (earplug and a red LED on Tx module) warn the pilot when preset values of battery voltage, range or temperature, both from receiver and transmitter exceed the limits. The weatronic® system works as a frequency hopping spread
spectrum with 81 channels (frequencies). The transmitting power is 100
mW EIRP*. The system complies with ETSI and FCC regulations.
* Equivalent Isotropic Radiated Power
Dual
Receiver 2.4 Dual FHSS Micro Class
This all new small high end Dual Receiver is
suitable for middle size and small models and helicopters. It has very
high sensitivity and is very robust against interference. Programmable
failsafe for each channel via transmitter, two aerials.
The Software GIGAControl can be used to program every servo outlet just
as in the big Dual receiver models - R. All 12 outlets can be programmed to be
used e.g. on a 7 channel transmitter. Slow function, sequencing etc. are
all available.
Firmware update via USB adapter cable, newest
generation of 32-bit-microprocessors used, double watchdog function,
shielded servo exits against interference, heavy duty PCB, signal
voltage 5 Volts, operating voltage 3.8 - 9 Volts. Available in 3 basic versions:
- Dual Receiver 2.4 Dual FHSS micro - 8 channel
- Dual Receiver 2.4 Dual FHSS micro - 10 channel also with 1- or 3-axis Gyro
- Dual Receiver 2.4 Dual FHSS micro - 12 channel also with 1- or 3-axis Gyro
Dimensions: 55 x 35 x 19 mm
Weight: 25 g
